I'm the one people work with when they're done hiding
If you're sick of feeling like your industry's best kept secret, ready to take your business to new heights (see what I did there? >.<) and know it's time to get over the self-doubt, imposter syndrome and crippling comparisonitis that's kept you playing small so you can finally own your brilliance and share it with more people... I'm really glad you found me.
...they're the reason people less skilled, less experienced and less caring than you seem to be killing it in business while you watch on from the sidelines, quietly (or not so quietly) despairing.
Between the self-doubt, imposter syndrome and marketing-related overwhelm, you probably find yourself solely focused on behind the scenes work and never prioritising public expression.
And even if you *do* make it a priority, you default to throwing money at it - hiring experts, signing up for courses, purchasing templates - but never taking ownership of it. Because let's be honest: it's a daunting and demanding undertaking.
Your struggles to own your value, hit publish on that video, unapologetically share about your client's success...
And as long as you keep trying to outsource your magnetism to "experts", you're avoiding the most important work you'll ever do. Not just for your business and this particular chapter of your journey, but for your entire life.
Because when we decide to own our brilliance, to show up and share our ideas, and to allow ourselves to be seen for who we really are, we undergo a complete transformation that leads to us finding our voice, developing unshakeable self-belief, and becoming unapologetically expressed.
And what follows isn't just more enquiries, clients and sales. It's a newfound understanding of our mission. Opportunities more epic than we'd ever dreamed were possible. And a deeper sense of purpose, fulfilment... even freedom.
Yeah, this journey you're embarking on is kind of a big deal.
In Short, you become undeniably magnetic.
- ANTARAA (Founder, Civis Vote)
“...she helped me hone my authentic voice and share it with the world!”
Kat is a great coach who invests a lot of time in each of us - and has a very hands-on approach to problem solving. She brought the best out in me and as a result, helped me hone my authentic voice and share it with the world. From the outset, Kat had a clear plan of action and seamlessly helped me identify and tackle my biggest challenges. From building systems to help me succeed in the overwhelming process of content creation to giving me an organised way to track my work and progress, I’m excited that I now have a framework to follow!
- Tati (Licensed therapist + coach)
“I feel more confident in my business overall and am overthinking things less.”
I'm now giving myself the permission to make decisions that feel aligned with my values and desires in my business. Rather than striving for perfection or shoulds, I am more focused on simplifying the client journey and my own marketing efforts, along with taking aligned action and trusting myself. I have really enjoyed working with Kat and appreciate all of her guidance, support, and insight to help me achieve an outcome even better than what I had hoped for!
- Krista Marie (Website designer)
“I didn't even know a month ago that I could be that person.”
When you put in the intentional work to just put one foot in front of the other and keep showing up in a way that feels good for you and what you need in that moment, it's just really incredible the things that happen. And this is the first rebrand where I actually I'm now like, "this is dialed in". It really feels like this is the deep breath that I needed inside my business.
- Shannon Droeske
“It’s funny how we overthink the things that mean the most to us, hey?”
”
It was time for me to take my business to the next level, perfectionism had set in and I was stuck, completely unable to move forward. I had overthought everything to such an extent, it felt like my brain was on fire. Not only did Kat help to create some kick-ass messaging and a plan to roll it out, but she helped me to remove the blocks that were preventing me from moving forward, shifted my entire mindset to get me back into the creative space I needed to be. Booking my session with Kat is one of the best investments I’ve made in myself and my business.
As I said, this is a process not a project. And 11 years of trial and error (with clients but also in building my own personal brand and business) has shown me that while not all progress is linear, the actual process is made so much simpler when we approach it in phases. Keep scrolling to better understand how I guide my clients through this process.
THE BIG PICTURE MAP + METHOD
With my support, during this phase you'll be:
This about everything that happens in the lead-up to hitting publish on that first piece of thought leadership content, which includes a combination of self-inquiry, strategy mapping, systems set up and most of all, working through the internal and external blockers to action. Because this isn't just about you committing to the journey -- it's also about you owning the fact that you do have something to contribute, and energetically choosing to take up more space in the world (and in particular, online).
PHASE 1: CLAIMING IT
With my support, during this phase you'll be:
Now you've overcome those initial hurdles, your challenge is to show up consistently and make publishing regularly your new normal. During this phase you'll be working to bridge the gap between the ideas floating around in your mind and them being articulated in a way that others can interact with them. And as this is the phase when the most mindset "stuff" comes out to play, we'll be troubleshooting in real time and helping you develop the tools and internal resources you need to face fears, manage doubts, and increase your capacity for visibility.
PHASE 2: SHARING IT
With my support, during this phase you'll be:
As you find a healthy publishing rhthym and the friction around sharing your ideas reduces, you increase your capacity for curiosity, creativity and play. Which is why this phase is all about leaning into the things that will allow you to stand out online (aka differentiation), create resonance (aka magnetism) with your ideal audience, and to make your message more memorable (aka sticky) to the people ready to receive it. So with a combination of introspection and outward exeriementation, we're going to lean in to what makes you unique and as a bonus, make content creation even more fun & fulfilling.
PHASE 3: DEFINING IT
With my support, during this phase you'll be:
You've overcome so many blockers, you're no longer letting doubt mess with your output, and you're seeing clearly that you are a niche of one. NOW we can get serious about mastery: developing your skillset and refining your strategy to reach more people and share your ideas in a way that makes a meaningful impact, while attacting you the attention and opportunities you deserve. This is where you start to see that making those 1% improvements over and over again is all that's required to eventually achieve everything you've been dreaming of (it's cheesy but it's true!)
PHASE 4: REFINING IT
With my support, during this phase you might* be:
The past 4 phases required a ton of consistent output from you, and the good news is that this phase allows you to work smarter, not harder. We're ready to make some long-game moves, prioritising sustainability and ways we can leverage your energy (and I.P.) so with all of that self-awareness and data we collected along with that growing body of work, we'll be able to map out a plan and build the assets required to reach larger audiences with less effort. Think borrowed audiences, search engine optimised content, high value assets (keynote talks, workshops, books etc). The stuff that allows you to do the work once then reap the benefits for years to come.
PHASE 5: AMPLIFYING IT
The past 4 phases required a ton of consistent output from you, and the good news is that this phase allows you to work smarter, not harder.
As you've probably already noticed, with our desire to be seen comes a whole bunch of fear and resistance to match. Fear of rejection, criticism, of judgement, of looking silly. Nervous system activation. Over-thinking. Procrastination. Throwing money to try and purchase a guarantee it'll work. The list goes on!
So as you're progressing through these 5 phases, there's also ongoing invisible/behind the scenes work playing out. Which is where Phase 0 comes in...
A QUICK INTERLUDE TO SAY:
And some of the other tools in my toolkit include:
SO, AS WE MOVE THROUGH THIS JOURNEY WE MAY BE GUIDED TO:
This is less of a phase and more about the "invisible" work we need to do at every phase of your journey in order to ensure that your becoming is keeping up with what you're building and sharing. Our fears and visibility wounds can lead to self-sabotaging patterns and nervous system dysregulation if parts of us associate being seen with being at risk of harm. So there will be ongoing visibility capacity building work we need to do to ensure that what you're doing/achieving is sustainable. What this work actually looks like depends on your unique blueprint and background, so the following examples are just a tiny cross-section of what we may explore together.
PHASE 0: HOLDING IT
Robyn began by wanting to looking like other successful people in her industry but when she started allowing people to see just how differently she operated, her own value was reflected back to her. As a result, she raised her standards for clients and began attracting more high calibre client who truly valued her.
Makeda was only focused on trying to land her first clients when we first started working together, yet by doing this work, she organically attracted opportunities to speak at the United Nations and create courses for LinkedIn Learning. In other words, a "personal branding strategy" quickly evolved into legitimate thought leadership -- despite her still experiencing doubt about her potential.
Tobias began with the idea that visibility would help him attract his next employment opportunity as a CFO, yet the more we uncovered his uniqueness (and values) the more it became clear that he was built for entrepreneurship, so he launched his own thing instead and his LinkedIn presence quickly had him booked out.
Rebecca was sick of wasting time fiddling with graphics in Canva instead of just hitting record and sharing her wisdom with the world. By getting to the root of her fears, she not only unleashed her voice and became a prolific authentic content creator, she also permanently changed her relationship to money and "value".
My client Tati came to me because she wanted to show up more authentically and make her brand more magnetic. In the process, she discovered she'd been underselling herself for years by aiming at the wrong clients all because she doubted her value and struggled to articulate it unapologetically.
And approaching the thought leadership journey this way almost always leads to so much more than "just" increased visibility and recognition in your industry. For example...
TO RISK STATING THE OBVIOUS:
- Makeda Andrews (Founder, The Impactful Leader)
[...] it’s what you’ve taught me which is about infusing my personality and fusing who I am into the brand. I've Stepped out of my comfort zone in some major ways and even landed some pretty incredible clients. I’ve been invited to speak at the United Nations about building and motivating teams. I’ve been invited to LinkedIn to do courses on their platform. And I believe it’s because of my recognizable brand. Oh, and you will never find anybody else in this industry that cares as much about you as Kat!"
“I would not have had the myriads of opportunities that I’ve had if it wasn’t for working with you.”
- Sabia Wade (Educator, author, doula)
What makes Kat unique is her whole person approach to coaching and business. She saw me as a human first and a CEO second, which is rare - most coaches go directly into business without recognizing the humanity in leaders. Kat will listen to what you say and what you don't say, calling you out (with love!) on where you're not supporting yourself and where you're playing small. Through our work, I landed a huge client with a long term contract that is completely in alignment in all the ways, created executive coaching packages with higher pricing but also created a group offering to create accessibility (balance!), landed a huge aligned client at an impact fund, and I've learned how to divide my energy in a way that cares for my community but places me as a priority on my list too!
"I really enjoyed Kat telling me like it is and calling me out (with love and care!)..."
- Randi (Director)
The confidence shift has already changed how I show up at work - and somewhat how I see myself. I’ve started sharing my perspective more clearly, speaking up in bigger ways about leadership... I’m proud that I’m showing up as myself, not a polished, brand-y version of me, but the real version: clear, candid, and maybe a little bit provocative.
It was honest, intuitive, flexible, and incredibly validating... Kat didn’t just coach me in the abstract, she adapted based on what I actually needed. When I was blocked, she helped me find my voice. When I started writing, she became a strategic editor and copy partner... I never felt like a 'client' in a program. I felt like a person in a real creative partnership.
“I’m proud that I’m showing up as myself, not a polished, brand-y version of me...”
- Tobias Bürger (Founder, Vector Partners)
Kat has a great ability to pull you out of the rabbit hole and give you a fresh perspective that’s completely tailored to you. She helped me overcome resistance and find the fuel for starting my own business – something I never thought I’d do. I’ve unlocked a lot of self-belief, already signed numerous clients, am close to break even, and am now betting entirely on myself. It has become clear to me what I want and what is important for me... I just booked three months in Brazil to flee the winter in Berlin which wouldn't have been possible in a permanent job engagement.
“My self doubt was reduced to a level where I decided to start my own business. To go out there and show what I'm made of.”
- Matt Wolfe (Enterprise Transformation leader)
I thought this was all about launching my coaching business and creating a ton of content. But the universe ended up giving me exactly what I needed, even though it wasn't at all what I had expected or planned for. I had this idea that instead of trying to make other leaders better leaders, maybe it was time for me to step up and be a leader myself. And voila, that's exactly what happened - I found myself in this role as the transformation leader, the face of the agile transformation. I used to approach things very cognitively, with a lot of self-awareness but not enough self-care. Now I'm more embodied - my whole system is involved, not just my head. That's allowed me to truly trust myself in a way I didn't before.
“I’d spent years trying to make other leaders better. What I hadn’t done was claim that role for myself.”
- Steve "The Elevator Guy"
I assumed that a Personal Brand Coach would write a few posts for me, show me a few things, and then turn me loose. Kat encouraged me to write my own posts so that the posts better represented who I am. She walked me through the whole process and pushed me to try new things. Kat gave me so much confidence just to be able to start. I knew I wanted to do this for a long time and just like I just couldn't get over that hump, but Kat got me over it – and so much further than I even thought I would be.
“I wanted to do this for a long time and I just couldn't get over that hump, but Kat got me over it...”
In Other words, the program that helps you become an embodied thought leader rather than trying to play the part of "online expert" while simultaneously feeling like a fraud.
Structured and curriculum backed, this is a high touch 1:1 program where you get access to me as your coach, strategic partner, creative collaborator and sounding board. Where we'll cover everything strategy mapping to skills development as a content creator, overcoming psychological blocks and increasing nervous system capacity, to message & positioning development and how to express yourself unapologetically.
A 6 month thought leadership and visibility coaching container for mission-driven founders, service based business owners & solopreneurs (including coaches, consultants, speakers, online educators) ready to become known as industry leaders.
Over the course of 6 months, through a combination of real-time coaching & strategy workshopping along with asynchronous communication (including reviews and feedback) and self-paced curriculum, we'll be working through those phases I shared with you at the pace that suits where you're at.
Each phase will include a combination of guided exercises, educational content and experiments. And as you move through the process, you'll have access to me in my many identities as coach, strategist, copywriter, educator, cheerleader, facilitator.
My ultimate goal is to be here to remove all obstacles to your progress and ensure you keep moving because most of the magic happens through action. Which coincidentally, also happens to be where most of the challenges arise!
PLEASE NOTE: Our monthly sessions will be scheduled in advance so we're committed to a regular rhythm that provides accountability as you'll need to show up regardless of where you're at in the process (no pushing back "until you've completed XYZ") whereas the 30 minute sessions are designed for time-sensitive troubleshooting of any challenges that arise, whether they be psychological, strategic, creative or logistical.
If the above resonate, there's a good chance we're going to get along well and that my approach will suit you, so I'd love to invite you to explore next steps (see below!)
I work with clients from a huge range of backgrounds. From finance to software, recruitment to real estate, elevators to leadership education. But while their resumes may look very different, there are some common threads they've all shared.
Some clues that we could be a good fit to work together
It dives deeper into my methodology and what to expect from the journey so you can make sure it's something you're ready to commit to.
Set aside 15 mins to tell me all about yourself so I can better understand where you're at, where you've been and where you want to go.
We'll meet on Zoom to do a vibe check plus ask each other any remaining burning questions so we know if it's a mutual hell yes.
Alignment > Urgency

Funnily enough, I used to call myself a personal branding coach and Magnetic Brand Co used to be called The Personal Branding Project. So personal brand coaching and visibility coaching is similar, but here's how I see it as different:
Personal branding is focused mostly on your "packaging". First impressions. Looking the part. Having a snappy elevator pitch and maybe a slick website. But what it often skips over is 1) how you get discovered/seen (visibility), 2) the skills involved in becoming a prolific creator and (eventual) thought leader, 3) the deeper blocks/wounds around visibility. In other words, it tends to be treated as a project rather than an ongoing process and embodiment journey.
We will be touching on all the personal brand elements organically throughout our time together, but my number 1 focus is on helping you become (not just look but also operate and feel like) an embodied thought leader in your space.
Only if we deem it necessary. And even then, I'm well versed in budget conscious solutioning and will always provide a range of options for you to choose from from free (or close to) but more time intensive through to premium but time efficient. Because the fact is there's always a cost -- it's just not alwayas monetary.
Your publishing strategy is going to always to leverage current and past experience while focusing in the direction of where you want to move. But while what you're doing is relevant, this journey is about the big picture, long-term, so it's role agnostic as I want this work to set you up for the rest of your career, not just your next move.
While this work only ever creates a positive ripple effect in your professional journey, my process is about helping you step into the identity of thought leader as opposed to strategically making over your profile (etc) in order to achieve a specific short term goal like landing a particular position. If the latter is what you're looking for, a career coach may be a better fit for you.
Yes, however with with an asterisk. "Being on social media" and playing influencer is a very different thing to choosing one online platform to publish on strategically. And the latter is what will be required as part of this program because if you have nowhere to publish publicly, we're missing most of the point. That said, there is no "you must show up daily", "you have to create videos" or any other shoulds. We're going to design your experiments around your preferences, strengths, values and boundaries. And most of all, have you showing up as a creator rather than a consumer on whichever platform you choose to be on.
→ A Google doc "HQ" where session notes, call recordings, homework, guided exercises, recommended resources and more will be stored. You can leave comments for me there and vice versa without losing track of them. Perfect for quick questions & clarifications.
→ A mid-month check-in form where you'll share your updates with me and I'll respond with an audio message that lives in your private podcast feed. Ideal for troubleshooting any obstacles, friction or mindset challenges that have arisen since our call.
→ A content review process where anytime you're working on something, you can submit it to me to look at and provide feedback around which I'll either do in text or video (screen record) format. This is the ultimate project-based learning as I won't just make suggestions/edits, I'll be sharing the "why" behind my recommendations so you're strengthening your skills through these practice/feedback loops.
→ For anything else you need, you can always reach me by email!
Absolutely. Asynchronous support is a huge part of this program as it means you can find a natural flow and build momentum without having to wait for our next call to make progress.
The various other touch points include:
I go about this process differently to many as I believe it's really important you start "showing up" for a while before locking down a visual brand identity because anything you choose too early on, you're likely to quickly outgrow being that it was based on a hypothesis and not real data. So for the first 3 phases, I recommend we start with the Minimum Viable Magnetism approach: co-creating visual guidelines just for what you'll need for your content experiments (i.e. a simple colour palette, font choices and some other basic creative confines). Then in phase 4, you may choose to hire a designer to create a brand identity for you that builds on what we started while (optionally) introducing other elements like logo & custom icons. Again, this is IF they're deemed necessary. Usually only if you're wanting to create a website and/or start building out assets like speaking decks or media packs.
Other than our monthly sessions (plus the on-demand sessions), know that you'll need to dedicate a minimum of 3 hours a week to this work to make steady progress and make the most of our time together. There'll be some pre-recorded currilum assigned to you each month to review, a handful of guided contemplations, and the experiments themselves. That said, you'll be setting the pace and I'm here to support you at whatever speed works for you. You may find that one month you have 5+hrs a week to spare where the next month you struggle to fit in 2 and that's completely fine.
Frequently asked questions
And I believe that choosing to go on the journey to become more visible won’t just change your life -- it will also transform you as a human.
Almost 9 years ago when I decided it was a good idea to “build a personal brand” and launch a YouTube Channel, I had no idea that it would lead to opportunities better than what I'd even dreamed up for myself. Example: after years of slogging away at auditions as an actor, I attracted a TV presenting opportunity thanks to a producer stumbling across my channel.
But beyond the views, downloads and other success metrics, the most fulfilling part of the journey is how going on it led me to my true calling -- helping people like you become known for your own brilliance.
In my quest to learn all there was to know, I invested multiple 6 figures and thousands of hours into coaching and education… and yet it was through 7 years of coaching others that I kept seeing that most of what people taught was incomplete at best and harmful at worst. Because while everyone was selling paint-by-numbers approaches, they were overriding the most essential part of the process: who we are.
Our blueprint is what makes us magnetic and completely unique. Our natural mode of operating is the key to developing a powerful creative process. Our fears and protective patterns are the sources of our own potential sabotage. So unless we approach this from the inside out, we’re setting ourselves up to fail.
We all need structure and strategy to succeed, of course. And with my background as a copywriter, messaging strategist & personal branding coach, I have that aspect covered. But the reason my clients choose to work with me is because of how I can support you, the individual. To help you break through your own limiting beliefs and patterns, to develop skills, clarity and confidence, and to fully and authentically express who you are and what you care about so that you can make your unique mark on the world.
It wasn't a straightforward path, however.
“
...the growth that happened and the things that I was able to acknowledge within myself during the time that we worked together feels huge. Exponential compared to the work that I've done in the past five years before meeting you.
